Deep Appreciation

A Fireside Gathering

Slowing down enough to notice what is already here.

There is so much in our lives asking for our attention.

What needs to be done. What isn't working. What we wish were different. What is happening in our communities and in the wider world.

And yet, alongside all of this, there is also so much quietly supporting us.

A breath arriving without our asking. Someone who knows us. The warmth of a fire. A tree we pass every day. A cup held between our hands. The small and ordinary moments that can so easily go unnoticed.

Deep Appreciation is an invitation to slow down enough to notice.

Gathered around the fire beneath autumn’s changing colours, we’ll explore what happens when gratitude moves beyond something we think about or list and becomes something we actually experience.

There is good reason to cultivate gratitude. Research has linked gratitude practices with greater emotional well-being, more positive emotion and life satisfaction, and reductions in stress and symptoms of anxiety and depression. Not because gratitude makes the difficult things disappear, but because it can help us widen our attention enough to remember that difficulty is not all that is here.

We’ll explore this together: What are we appreciating right now? What happens when we pause long enough to really take it in? How does appreciation touch us—in our bodies, our hearts, and in the way we meet our lives?

Through caring awareness meditation, gentle embodied and nervous system practices, reflection, and conversation, we’ll practise turning our attention toward what is here and discovering how appreciation can become an anchor we return to in everyday life.

There is beauty here, too.
There is kindness.
There is support.
There is life quietly offering itself to us.

We’ll gather fireside, share seasonal tea and a warming treat, and spend an autumn evening together slowing down enough to notice what has been here all along.

Seasonal tea and a nourishing treat are included. $44

‘The Gatherings’ - These two-hour monthly Gatherings offer a place to pause, reconnect, and practise together, exploring seasonal themes through meditation, caring awareness, embodied and nervous system practices, reflection, nature connection, and conversation.

Moving with the seasons, we may gather in a warm, inviting indoor space or outdoors, held by the living world.
