COURTNEY
Courtney Lawson is an environmental steward, naturalist, illustrator, and creative lead who is continuously exploring how environmental education and storytelling can be integrated and shared through creative mediums. Courtney believes creative forms of communication make our complex world more accessible and can help nurture deeper connections with our shared environment. She pushes the boundaries of how we can better share stories of our experiences in nature to inspire environmental stewardship.
She has worked with grassroots communities in Alberta through a large array of creative mediums including film, documentation, design and illustration to help amplify environmental narratives. Courtney has collaborated with environmental organizations such as CPAWS Southern Alberta Chapter, Y2Y, Alberta Ecotrust, and Unschool — United Nations Environment Program.
